On 26 August, the atmosphere inside Stiller Studio was filled with warmth, genuine conversation, and a shared sense of relief. A dedicated group of local business owners, leaders, and professional women gathered for the latest Business Women’s Collective Alcoa Evening Edition. Titled Less Hustle, More Happy, the event offered something every ambitious woman desperately needs: permission to slow down, take a breath, and evaluate where all her energy is actually going.

The evening was led by the brilliant Claire Seeber, who brought her signature mix of sharp professional insight, warmth, and laugh-out-loud humor. Rather than delivering another standard lecture on productivity, Claire challenged the room to confront the myth of modern busyness. She guided attendees through a deep exploration of what it genuinely means to feel valued and fulfilled at work, proving that true professional success does not require burning out or sacrificing your identity along the way.

In a culture that conditions women to measure their self-worth by the length of their to-do lists, Claire offered a refreshing counter-narrative. She illustrated how constant exhaustion stifles creativity and strategy, advocating instead for working with quiet intention rather than frantic momentum.

By encouraging everyone in the room to redefine success on their own terms, Claire ignited candid discussions about setting boundaries and letting go of external expectations. The energy in the studio was electric as women swapped stories, shared their daily challenges, and collectively realised they weren’t alone in wanting something different from their careers. Many left the event admitting they were heading straight home to take a long, hard look at their weekly calendars.

Events like this are a powerful reminder of what happens when women come together to support, inspire, and elevate one another. Beyond the takeaway strategies, the Alcoa Evening Edition provided a space for meaningful networking and authentic connection, strengthening the bonds across our regional business community.

This event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Heartfelt thanks go to Alcoa Australia for their commitment to empowering women in leadership, and to AJ Harrington Photography for beautifully capturing the candid smiles, laughter, and vibrant spirit of the night.
