Empowering Connection, Community & Growth: Meet the Business Women’s Collective

At its heart, the Business Women’s Collective (BWC) is more than just a network—it’s a movement. Based in the Peel region of Western Australia, the BWC brings together like-minded business and professional women to connect, collaborate, and uplift one another. What started as a small, passionate group has grown into a thriving not-for-profit organisation with a clear mission: to champion women in business through support, education, and shared experiences.

A Space to Belong and Be Inspired

The BWC is known for our Monthly Meetups, where women come together in a welcoming, relaxed setting to swap stories, share ideas, and build genuine relationships. With attendance numbers steadily growing, these gatherings have become a cornerstone of our success—proof that there’s real power in showing up and supporting one another. A special shoutout goes to Boundary Island Brewery, whose team has played an important role in creating a beautiful environment (and delicious brunch!) for these events.

Celebrating a Year of Milestones

2024 was a standout year for the BWC. Not only did we officially become incorporated as the Regional Business Women’s Collective Incorporated, but we also launched a Grants Sub-Committee and secured our first grant—used to purchase audio equipment that’s already improving the quality of our events.

Our flagship fundraiser, the Long Table Lunch at Redgum Wine Estate, raised an incredible $6,600 for Ovis Community Services. The event featured keynote speaker Amber Kearns, whose heartfelt story reminded everyone of the strength found in vulnerability and connection.

Making an Impact Beyond the Peel Region

The BWC’s influence is extending beyond the local area. In 2024, members attended a private reception at Parliament House, hosted by state leaders and the Premier. These moments signal something bigger: women in regional business are not just part of the conversation—they’re helping shape it.

Looking Ahead

With a successful strategic planning session under our belt (led by the inspiring Maree Gooch), and a brand new website courtesy of Saturday House Studios, the BWC is already gearing up for an even brighter 2025. Our focus? Growing the Collective, amplifying the voices of regional businesswomen, and continuing to build a community that leads with kindness, collaboration, and confidence.

Whether you’re a business owner, entrepreneur, or professional woman living in the Peel region, the Business Women’s Collective offers a space to connect, grow, and belong.
